My husband and I are very excited about this adventure! Our 140+ year old building has a beautiful and charming store front and a newly restored 2 bedroom loft with highspeed internet, a 60 inch smart tv in the jazzy livingroom, a standing arcade game with over 3000 games for your pleasure, beautiful windows and high ceilings. There is a tv in each bedroom and we will provide a bassinet and or pack and play to accomodate infants and small toddlers! Valley Falls is a charming Jefferson County town and is situated on the Delaware River at the headwaters of the Perry Reservoir. It is served by State highways, K-4 and K-16. Fishing on the Delaware River brings fishermen from afar. The river also allows easy access to the Perry Reservoir by a pleasant trip of approximately 5 miles along the course of the Delaware River to the reservoir. This quaint town has local attractions and a great dining experience as well, with that being said for our short term vacation rental guests.. there is Stewart’s Ol’ Smokehouse. Its a beautiful restaurant with great food and exellent service! Some other local businesses to check out are AAHHSOME Blossom, Turner Designs, and Sew Fine Quilting! Our vacation rental is also a hop, skip, and a jump from the Perry Wildlife Area and the Delaware River Parker Truss Bridge. When we first drove into Wooded Way, we knew we had to live here…and that was before we saw the home. Our large, beautiful home sits on a hillside, surrounded by very large trees, and is at the south edge of 14 acres of woods. It also looks down on a beautiful two-acre pond with clear water full of bass and crappie. We now want to share it with others that are just traveling from A to B or with folks who just want to get out to the country. We’re 3 miles from the nearest boat ramp on Lake Perry. Though there are many bnb's here, there are none like ours. Here you can play foosball, enjoy the massage chair, or go outside and soak up the deck, the firepit, the hiking trail, and the fishing. And don't forget the waffles... Basically, you have the entire south end of the home, (almost 600 sq. ft.) decks, private entrance with a keypad, four rooms, a living room, bathroom, study, and master. The study is small but it has a massage chair, a foosball table, and lots of books. The place is decorated as a lake cabin. You have your own thermostat, wifi, AT&T Now for news, sports, and movies, plus a DVD player. We do not have a full kitchen, but we have a Keurig for that most needed drug, a convection microwave, mini-fridge, hot plate, waffle iron with a supplied batter, snacks, and all the dishes and utensils you would need to cook with…we’ll take care of the dishes. There’s a queen bed in the master, and that new kind of Murphy bed in the living room, which just might have the yummiest queen mattress in the entire home. Our home is a spacious house. It is an open floor plan with master and bathroom and 2 other bedrooms on main level. We also have a nice size deck and patio with plenty of seating in the backyard for entertaining. In the basement we have 2 additional bedrooms. The ‘Write’ Red Barn is in a quiet suburb of NW Lawrence just a mile from the I-70 S. Turnpike exit and within 4 miles of KU and downtown. Several Restaurants and grocery stores, and health food stores are within a two mile radius. Dillons, Genesis Health Club, and Deerfield Park are walking distance. The location is quiet and relaxing, but close to the music scene and sporting events. There are numerous walking/biking trails in Lawrence and several museums, dog parks, area lakes, and always educational activities. Fun and affordable family events are plentiful in Lawrence. The kitchen is fully equipped with small appliances, a full sized ceramic top range, and refrigerator with ice maker. You will find all the utensils, cooking equipment, and dishes that would make a gourmet cook happy. There’s also a nice assortment of spices and herbs. The dining table has two chairs, however there are four extra chairs in the closet behind the front door to accommodate six at the table. The bathroom…well it’s also newly renovated with some pretty great features. One of my favorites is the washer/dryer unit. Yes, one unit does both! It’s designed for smaller loads and is very convenient. If you need full sized, I’m on site – just let me know and you can use mine. There is also a hanging rack if you want to air dry any laundry items. In addition, there is a dispenser hanging on the newly tiled bath/shower wall which has shampoo, conditioner, and soap. I use good quality products so you can leave your liquids at home! If you happen to forget something, just ask me; I probably have it. If you have small children, they’ll get a kick out of the towel hangers - just their size, just their height. There’s grown up ones, too! This two-bedroom comfortably sleeps four. The good quality mattresses are brand new! The master bedroom has a queen bed that sleeps two. The second bedroom has a daybed which is great for one adult. There is a trundle under the daybed which remains floor level when pulled out. It would accommodate an additional adult. This room is small so if the trundle is being used, the bedroom is full. Upon request, I can provide small child amenities such as pack and play, high chair, etc. The master bedroom has a custom designed closet. It has hanging space, drawers, and shelves. There is a full-sized ironing board and iron. There are luggage racks in each bedroom to keep your suitcases off the floor. Check out the closets! In the hall closet you will find towels, a first aid kit, a nice assortment of games, and children’s books. In the closet behind the front door you will find a flashlight, fire extinguisher, air mattresses and inflator, as well as four folding chairs. What’s outside…there’s a hot tub, a pool, and a charcoal grill. These are in a shared space since I live onsite. I have a shop/building. In there is a pool table, and ping pong table. You’ll also find a few pool supplies like floats, noodles, goggles, etc. Your patio has outdoor furniture as well as a chimera, perfect for relaxing before a fire on a cool crisp evening outside. It’s also a great spot for a hot cup of coffee watching the sun come up over the lake. You can see the golf course which is directly across the lake. You’ll feel like you’re staying in the middle of a park – because you are! Other items to mention: I have this listed as a guest house. Old Forester Cottage is a charming historic home in the heart of Old West Lawrence. It’s blocks away from the University of Kansas on the football stadium side and blocks away from downtown. Old Forester has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms all upstairs and a full kitchen, breakfast room and living room downstairs. You can also walk into a fully furnished deck just outside the back door. There’s plenty of seating both inside and out for a small gathering.

This townhome was renovated on July 2020, it’s located near KU campus and just a few blocks from Downtown Lawrence. You can walk to The Merc, Burrito King, some restaurants on Massachusetts. It has a full kitchen with new appliances including a new microwave that vents out. All the furnitures are new. This townhome is a two stories home and has a garage/laundry. There is bike for guests who like to ride during their stay in Lawrence. Smoking, big gathering groups and parties are not allowed. Our property is nestled in the quiet Old West Lawrence neighborhood. The property is on the 600 block just 4 blocks north of the KU football stadium and Ku campus. Located on the property is two structures, but regardless of which ones you rent, you will have the entire property to yourself. The main house has 2 bedrooms, one queen bed and one full sized bed. The main house has one bathroom, and full kitchen with all cooking essentials, stove, and refrigerator. The main house also has a stacked washer and dryer as well as central A/C and heat. By request for additional space, we also have an unattached studio which contains a queen bed, and large L-shaped leather sofa which converts to a double bed. The studio does not have a bathroom, however, so it cannot be rented by itself, only as additional space to the main house. The studio has a queen bed and large leather l-sectional couch which folds out into a double bed. The space has a 50 inch flat screen TV with it's own Amazon firestick for use. The entire studio has it's own wifi connection as well. The heat and A/C are independent from the main house also. Please note, there is no bathroom in the studio, so be aware of this for larger parties and accessibility during the night. If you would like to rent the main house and the studio, there will be an additional nightly fee of $50-100 dependent on but not limited to: the number of guests, duration of stay, and/or demand. The property has two private parking spots just off of the alley as well as free street parking. Adjacent to the property is a community garden, which you are welcome to explore and enjoy.

A closet provides shelves and a place to hang clothes. There is a dresser and full length mirror. The bathroom has a tub/shower and dual flush toilet. The computerized thermostat allows you to adjust the temperature to suit your needs. Operable windows on four sides can provide fresh breezes when the weather is nice. For your safety, there are also smoke and carbon monoxide detectors in the room. The floors are carpeted except in the bathroom, which is tiled.

We are a 3 minute walk from the Granada, Replay Lounge, Bottleneck, and Jazzhaus. The Arts Center is around the corner, and just a block from that is the farmer's market which runs from early spring to late fall. The house is spacious and open with skylights in the kitchen. Located on the main floor is 1.5 bathrooms, 1 non-conforming bedroom with memory foam twin daybed mattress and pull out trundle, fully equipped kitchen, living area, and pool room. The second level has 2 bedrooms, the master with a king bed which overlooks Rhode Island street, and the second bedroom with a queen bed. The stairs are quite steep, as it is a preserved and historic staircase. Please note that there is no bathroom upstairs, although one of the bedrooms adjoins the main bathroom downstairs. Please consider this if you have mobility issues. The main floor has a spacious pool room and eating nook off of the living room for your entertainment. The living room has a comfy sectional, flat screen TV (equipped with 100 mbps internet and Amazon FireStick). Please note that this house is historic, and parts of the home are settling. The decor and furnishings have character and are not "just out of the package" quality. Each room has unique artwork from several local artists, you may find yourself feeling more like a townie than a guest of Lawrence when you leave.
